Throw back Thursday| New York City

So today I was sitting on my bed watching the horrible rainy weather and thinking about something I could write as a throw back Thursday and earlier on I was looking back through holiday pictures and dreaming of going back to New York, so I thought I would share some of my pictures with you.

I loved this holiday so much I had been waiting for it all year as we booked it pretty early so we had more chance of saving our money up to spend out there! We only went for 5 days which I think is just enough time to have a look around the city and get the feel of everything, for us we did all the main tourist attraction (Empire State Building, rockafellas centre, Statue of Liberty, 9/11 memorial) but we left some of the little bits out so when we go back next time we can go to these so the helicopter ride around the islands and a show in broadway that sort of thing. I have got to admit though if anybody gave me the option of what I would pick between London or New York I would defiantly not think twice and pick New York. It's one of those cities that although it's busy it's calm and people will smile at you, whereas London I find people are always rushing and never even look at people to give them a smile and if you do like me they just think your odd!

We didn't really shop that much in New York as most of the things out there are really similar priced as the UK, but they do have different shops out there but at the time I was to wowed by the whole I'm in New York thing that I didn't really go in to the true American shops :( which now I think about it, I wish I had of but hey we can save that for next time. What I did splurge out on a lot out there though was Tiffany I was obsessed with that shop and probably spent the most money in there. Other then that we went up the Empire State Building and rockafellas and the height of them is crazy, the amount of times I was so scared that I was going to loose my camera, but luckily it was still with me by the time we got home :). We was really lucky as well because the weather for November was very shocking, we thought it would be freezing cold and snowy but instead it was sunny and pretty warm, so that was nice and when we went on the boat to Statue of Liberty it was a nice smooth but windy ride but the sun was shining and it was really nice!! I would defiantly recommend going to New York if you can it's amazing, and now I wish one day I could just live and work out there for a year just to experience the New York life :)

So that's my little story on my holiday to New York! Most of my throw back Thursdays are going to be about holidays for the next couple of weeks but after that I will do a lot more old pictures!! I hope you like these.

Simple spotless skin rapid action spot zapper

What it says on the packaging:
Smile, it's simple get results in just 4 hours with out spotless skin rapid action spot zapper. It's a perfect blend of spot fighting ingredients and natural antibacterial goodness to visibly reduce spot redness and size without irritation to the skin. It's tough on spots but gentle in your skin. Perfect for even sensitive skin

I have had this product for quite a while now and find that it works pretty well on my skin, especially if I have just done my cleanse, exfoliate and then had a bath and pop it one the spots afterwards . I find that it works at its best during the night so once I have relaxed at home and gone to sleep when I wake up in the morning I notice a difference. But on the packaging it does say that you get results in 4 hours I haven't found this 100% true. A couple of weeks after I brought this product I was going out one evening and had a spot that was really irritating me so I thought if I put the product on and not wear any make up for the day I would notice a difference, well this didn't really happen and by the time I was ready to go out done my make up the spot was still there gleaming at me. So I wouldn't recommend this to you if you was looking for fast action, but if you don't mind waiting over night then that's when I noticed it more.

I picked this spot zapper out of any of the others just for the pure fact that 1) it is all natural ingredients and 2) it is perfect for sensitive skin. As you all know from when I was talking about my skin care routine I suffer pretty badly with sensitive skin. And nearly every other spot zapper I have had starts my face off and I end up with bright red patches which doesn't look to nice when you have spots as well and there is only so much concealer that can hide your blemishes. This product is really easy to carrying around in your handbag though it's in a small tube with a rollerball at the end, so you can just pop it on your bag and then zap away whenever you need to.

I would defiantly recommend this product to anybody that has sensitive skin and needs the more natural products instead of the ones that are filled with chemicals!

If anybody else has any other spot zapper products that they find work well for them and would be gentle on sensitive skin, please do let me know and I shall try them out!

Currently| Reading & Watching

Before I start writing all of this I would just like to say that I am ever so sorry for the lighting, but this was done as soon I got in from work. I hope you don't mind.

I never used to really like reading at all I used to always find it a struggle to get in to books and find ones that I like, but since I have been working up in London and having to travel on the train everyday I began to get fed up of watching other people and then doing the awkward stare that people do and not knowing where to look, but then I decided one day I would pick out a book that would interest me and see if I could get in to reading again! And boy did I begin to enjoy it, in the last year or so I have probably read over 50 books and have enjoyed nearly every single one of them.

But last year I found an interest in John green when I first read his book The fault in our stars. This book has a lot of meaning to me in different ways and helped me to overcome what had happened earlier on in the year. I don't want to give to much away but sadly I lost my nan last year to lung cancer and I loved her so very dearly and was struggling to come to terms that I has lost her. And in this book it is pretty much about cancer suffers and how they lived there life's and also about love! It's defiantly a must read but be warned if you get a little bit emotional like I do, this book isn't the best to read in public, yes I had a few tears run down my face while reading on the train! Well done me. And then last Christmas (2013) my lovely boyfriend got the the John Green book set for Christmas that I haven't stopped reading since I started travelling to London again, I'm on the 3rd book of 5 which is currently in my bag and not in the pictures I do apologise. But when I do a what's in my bag post I shall put it on there for you! I love how John Green writes all his books and every story has something unique about it.

Would you like reviews on any of the books that I have read? Let me know down in the comments box :)

Since last November I have been really getting in to box sets! For our anniversary Dan got me the breaking bad box set and while we was up in the Lake District we didn't stop watching them, until season two, but at the moment I am slowly getting through them at the moment I am on the first desk, but hopefully I will finish them in February or March. I have also been watching new girl, I find this programme to be on rod the easiest and funniest thing to watch, and I love to just have a lazy evening watching New Girl and seeing what all the gang are up to. So I am slowly getting through them. Once I've watched them all I shall update you on what the next box set is to watch! While I'm on the television subject I have become addicted to The Hunger Games!

My Current Skincare Routine.

Today I thought I would tell you a little bit about what I have been using since Christmas. I was lucky enough to get a Clarins, origins and soap and glory box for Christmas so I have been experimenting with which product my skin likes. For the last couple of years since I left college I have been really lazy on looking after my skin and just doing the quick and easy use of make up wipes and face cream, which really isn't the best for my skin, and I feel really bad for not looking after it as I should in the first place.

Over the last few years, I have found that my skin is very sensitive to many products that are out there on the market, which pretty much means I have to pay for everything that is high end just to get the look and feel I want for my face to have, instead of it being really sensitive and sore and not looking to pleasant. So last year I thought I would ask for some different skincare packages that had everything in it, that I know my skin will really love, it was the best thing that I have ever done, and from now on I am not going back. Clairns and Origins really work well with my skin and I have seen a massive difference in the feel on my make up going on, and I have been having a day make up free on Sundays, just to give my skin some fresh air.

Clairns Gentle Foaming Cleanser.
This cleanser I find is a lot better then most of the cleaners out there for me personally, due to the fact that I have sensitive skin especially on my cheeks, usually as soon as I start rubbing a product in, it starts to hurt and I need to take it off, but with this one there is the perfect balance, it's not too foamy on my face which I like, also the smell is amazing!

Clairns Exfoliating Body Scrub for smooth skin.
I would probably say that this is one of the best exfoliates out there that is multi purpose. I found this works both well for my whole body and also for my face. Usually I find them so rough that my skin seems to burn, but with this one, I can use it all over and get the same effect. Would highly recommend to anybody that is looking for something for both skin and face, and for good smooth results as well.

Origins Make A Difference plus+ Rejuvinating Mosituriser.
This moisturizer I have found to be one of the best that I have ever used, it makes your skin feel so smooth and smells amazing. Sometimes I find with moisturizers they can be very thick and leave my face feeling very greasy but this one it is very light, and give me enough moisture without being to over powering.

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution.
I found this product through reading many blogs, and wasn't quite sure on all the hype about it. But as soon as I purchased this product it has become one of my all time favorites. This is the best product out there whether you are in a rush, or just can't be bothered to do a full cleanse on your face. I use this every single day, just to take off the make up off my eyes and around my face I usually do this before I do the whole cleanse and moisturize, just to get the top layer off. It leaves such a nice feel to the face and works wonders for me. This would be another product that I would highly recommend.

Things to achieve in 2014

I have written this post as sort of a resolutions post it has taken me this long to actually think of what I want to do this year and as this is the first post of the year, I thought I would make it something to look back on. I have decided to name this things to achieves instead of resolutions because I always break resolutions where as if I name it things to achieve I have something to come back to at the end of the year and say yes I have achieved something! This is the year that I will sort my life out and get everything sorted in to the way that I want, I want to find the new me, and find some new hobbies to achieve. One of these will be to start this blog and put more of an effort in to it.

Thinking positively
This year my main goal is to try and think positively about my life! In 2013 I would always think about all the negative things that had happened and not about the good things that happened in my life, although last year was a tough year for me, I'm determined this year I'm going to make the most out of everything that I have in my life and not let everything get the better of me. Like the saying goes "there is always light at the end of the tunnel". No more of me being moody and upset about all the silly things and keeping it all bottled up like I have done in the past. If I don't like something then I'll either change it or say something!

Getting a new job
As much as I like the job I'm in at the moment, I've been there nearly 3 years, I feel like it is time for a change I need something more challenging for myself, something where you get a new challenge every now and again that might pop up, and somewhere that I can always learn new things, or see the achievements that I am making. So now it's got to that time where I would like to find something that I enjoy and where I can grow!

Saving
This year is going to be the saving year. So I can save up for a house and in the next couple of years will be able to leave home and look for new adventures of my own! This means that I won't be able to travel the world as much as I want to at the moment, but I need to get my foot in the door, and get a nice house of my own. And in the future plan to go to more of my dream destinations.

Getting healthy
This is something that everybody says every year when it gets to January. I will start loosing weight! I'm one of the culprits for this and it never works, but this year as I'm thinking positively I'm going to try and loose the weight I need to loose in my own time not pressuring myself in to loosing it there and then and then not seeing the difference. I have decided that I am going to wait until 1st February to be a little but harder on myself as I don't want to start going to the gym now and being hit by all the January faze when everybody in the world decides it's time to go and loose there Christmas weight! So I look forward to doing this as well. Also trying to go on more walks throughout the year, and see what is about. Although the weather isn't the greatest here in England at the moment, when the weather starts picking up a little bit, I think i'm going to jump in to the car and find nice walks along the beach, in the country. We shall see where this goes :)

Fingers crossed I manage to keep to all of there achievements and by the end of this year look at this post and say yes I've done this and managed to keep my word to it. And be a lot closer to my dream home! What are all you achievements/resolutions for this year?
